Dear CAPS Parents and Guardians:
Welcome to Cornerstone Academy Preparatory School’s Parents’ Association (PA)!

- Partnering with CAPS Sunshine Committee
- CAPS Homeroom Parent Program
- Donuts with Dad

Fundraising Committee
Fundraising is a large committee whose main goal is to achieve the fundraising objective (in fun and inspired ways) set forth by the Parent Association in our annual PA budget. Sub-committees include: Annual Jog-a-thon, Family Movie Night, Bake Sale and Pizza My Heart. This vibrant committee offers all kinds of volunteering opportunities.

Volunteer Committee
The Volunteer Committee works with parents to fill their volunteer hours by finding appropriate and achievable volunteer opportunities. The committee also supports general committee development.

Hospitality Committee
The Hospitality Committee plan and coordinate light refreshments at the PA meetings and other PA functions, including Welcome Back Meet & Greet Potluck, Back To School Night, and Year-End BBQ.

Homeroom Parent Committee
Room Parents (min. 1 per classroom) help teachers pass on important information to the classroom. Most communications are done through email. As a room parent, you may be asked to help make a class roster, organize flied trips and parties, request supplies for the classroom, reach out for volunteers for different assignments or activities going on in the classroom.

Playground & Beautification Committee
The Playground & Beautification Committee helps to improve the CAPS campus by organizing clean-up days, greening up outdoor spaces and providing necessary repairs. They also research and present campus & playground maintenance and improvement plans. The Beautification Chair works closely with the Fundraising Chair to coordinate fundraising for maintenance and improvements of the School’s playground equipment and grounds.
